Moses Mafabi has a B.Sc. and an M. Sc. from Makerere University (Uganda) Faculty of Science with specialties in vertebrate ecology and wildlife management. He is a former conservator of Natural History at the Uganda National Museum (Department of Antiquities and Museums – Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry) and an Assistant Curator/Lecturer at Makerere University Zoology Museum. He has participated in four field seasons collecting Miocene mammals in Karamoja District, Uganda, and spent part of 2004 in the United States describing fossils.
